Medical Director

Clinical accountability for a fast-growing digital mental health provider moving from single-pathway delivery into multi-pathway scale.

Why this role exists

The founding clinical lead built the service to twelve thousand assessments a year. The next phase — three new pathways and a regulated prescribing arm — needs someone who has held clinical accountability at that scale before, not someone growing into it.

What the first twelve months look like

Three pathways live and audited. A supervision model that survives a CQC inspection without heroics. A clinical leadership bench two deep, so the organisation is no longer one person away from a governance problem.

What you'll own

  • Hold overall clinical accountability as Responsible Officer across all pathways
  • Design and own the supervision model as headcount roughly doubles
  • Chair the clinical governance committee and own the risk register
  • Partner with the CEO and CCO on pathway commercial viability
  • Represent the clinical position to regulators, commissioners and PMI partners

What we need to see

  • GMC registration with licence to practise, on the Specialist Register
  • Prior Medical Director or Deputy MD experience in a regulated provider
  • Demonstrable experience scaling clinical delivery, not just maintaining it
  • Comfort operating in a commercial environment without diluting clinical standards
