Chief Medical Officer

Board-level clinical leadership for a health group operating across three regulated businesses.

Why this role exists

The group has grown by acquisition and now runs three clinical models with three sets of standards. Nobody owns the clinical position at group level, and the board has recognised that this is a structural risk rather than an inconvenience.

What the first twelve months look like

One clinical operating standard across the group, a single governance view at board level, and a clinical voice in acquisition decisions before they are made rather than after.

What you'll own

  • Set the group clinical strategy and standard
  • Own the consolidated governance position at board level
  • Lead clinical due diligence on acquisitions
  • Build and lead a group clinical leadership team

What we need to see

  • GMC registration on the Specialist Register
  • Prior CMO or Group Medical Director experience
  • Experience integrating clinical models post-acquisition
  • Board-level credibility with investors as well as clinicians
