Head of Clinical Governance

Build the governance function for a health-tech provider entering its first CQC-registered pathway.

Why this role exists

Governance has been handled by clinicians in the margins of their day jobs. That works up to a point, and this organisation has passed it. The role exists to turn scattered good practice into a function.

What the first twelve months look like

A registered service, a governance calendar that runs itself, and clinicians who spend their time on patients rather than paperwork.

What you'll own

  • Lead CQC registration and inspection readiness
  • Own policy, incident management and clinical audit cycles
  • Build credentialing and revalidation processes that scale
  • Report governance position to the board quarterly

What we need to see

  • Deep working knowledge of CQC fundamental standards
  • Experience taking an organisation through registration or inspection
  • Ability to write policy people actually follow
